Belgium is the country of beer, water, and soft drinks par excellence.
As a mechanical recycler of principally wheelie bins, pallets, and crates, we offer to our beverage partners also a service for handling- and warehousing bottles before crates are stored or reground. It is our conviction, as a company, to give back to the society wherever possible. This makes that we carry out this service systematically with people of a local sheltered workshop. By this PPE creates a win-win! Our beverage partners pay a strict minimum for the service and in-return the Sheltered workshop employs a considerably number of disadvantage people.

Sorting of bottles
All drinks manufacturers want to distinguish themselves with their own unique bottles, which come in all shapes and sizes.
Not to mention the more than 500 different crates on the Belgian market.
Admittedly, sorting empty bottles is a challenge for drinking establishments and breweries alike.
Some prefer to operate manually, and others might simply not have capacity to do it their selves.
And that’s why PPE offers this service of bottle sorting where sorted bottles end up in the right crate.
We work with sustainability and efficiency to save time, space, raw materials, and CO2 emissions.
This job is carried out by a sheltered workshop.
Repacking of bottles
When the bottles are properly sorted, they’re ready for a new life.
The next step is to repackage them to ensure the products remain intact and are easy to store.
How to repackage? Well… exactly as you wish!
Would you like to repackage from one crate to another?
Prefer to repackage from 12-bottle crates to 6-bottle crates?
All of this and more is possible, thanks to our manual approach.

Destruction of bottles
When bottles no longer fit their standard specifications they will be destructed.
The bottles will be destroyed, and the glass will be transported to an external glass treatment facility.
Warehousing
Warehousing involves the safe and secure storage of inventory.
At the PPE premises we have an area of 50.000 m2 available for warehousing.
This surface is completely paved and surrounded by a fence with integrated camera surveillance.
Our opening hours may vary in function of the needs of our partners.
