Mobile recycling at customers’ site
- Mobile shredding
- Mobile regrinding
- Mobile washing
- RThe space required to install a mobile grinder is approx. 10m by 20m.
- RTo facilitate operations, the regrinding unit should be parked near the products to be reground.
- RElectricity is generated using a generator set, which is incorporated in the regrinding unit.
- RThe regrinding unit is well isolated to reduce the noise up to an acceptable noise-level.
- ROur workers have many years of experience in the field of mobile grinding.
- RThe quality of regrind produced fulfils the EuPR quality specification for PE-HD.
- RThis is to be considered as the minimum European standard.
- RThe regrind is automatically packed in weather proved bags called big bags and place upon a pallet.
- RTo protect the big bags from rain and dust, they are systematically covered by and UV stabilized sleeve.
Stationary recycling
- Fix shredding
- Fix regrinding
- Fix washing
- Fix homogenizing
- Fix Agglomeration
- RWe are a global recycler of high-quality plastic by mechanical regrinding of a limited range of high-value products hard plastics, namely crates, wheely bins, pallets, etc.
- RWe offer this regrind to injection molding companies operating in a wide range of markets. We have developed extensive knowledge and expertise in recycling over the last 30 years and are continuously expanding our portfolio and capabilities.
- RWith our range of manufacturing facilities (stationary and mobile), we can work together with our customers to find solutions to their most challenging application requirements. This includes developing tailor-made formulations to meet specific color and performance requirements.
- ROur recycling provides value-added service with continuous focus on safety and reliability.
- RThe process PPE applies is mechanical recycling.
- RMechanical recycling is the process of recovering plastic waste by mechanical processes such as shredding, sorting, washing, drying, and regrinding.
- RTo become a recycling rate of nearly 100%, PPE recently developed an agglomeration plant to online wash, dry and agglomerate the residue called “Dust” coming out the mechanical recycling process. This product is extremely well adapted to be further consumed in an injection molding process.
Agglomeration
It took three years of study and development, in partnership with a reputable company in the development- and construction of recycling machines, to come up with an installation to gain back from the HDPE or PP powder, a residue of the mechanical regrinding and – washing of regrind, a granulate.
After a range of different processes, the powder becomes a granulate, ready to be injection in a standard injection moulding process.
The operations can take place in two different ways:
Labor work:
-
- The customer compensates PPE for the regrinding service.
- The regrind produced stays property of the customer.
- The big bags are provided by PPE.
- The covering sleeves are provided by PPE.
- The pallets are provided by customer.
- PPE weights every single Big Bag produced by the means of a mobile weighting scale.
Taken over of regrind:
-
- PPE pays the customer for the regrind taken over.
- The regrinding cost is on behalf of PPE.
- The big bags are provided by PPE.
- The covering sleeves are provided by PPE.
- The pallets are provided by PPE.
- PPE weights every single Big Bag produced by the means of a mobile weighting scale.
To determine the net weight produced, for both operations, the gross weight of a big bag produced is reduced by 30 kg.

PPE is a well-established mechanical recycling company with main offices situated in Belgium, the heart of Europe. Due to the fact, that PPE operates principally with mobile recycling units for shredding, regrinding and washing, our way of working and technology offer advantageous – and competitive solutions to our customers. Solutions that make the whole recycling operation easier, faster and much cheaper without ignoring professionalism, experience, quality and safety. Our recycling operations do not have any geographical limitation and are the right way to improve the carbon footprint by avoiding the emission of CO2.
